MG MGB 1964 (Z)
ROADSTER
Vehicle Description
Introduced in 1962 the MGB became one of Britain’s most iconic sports cars and any one driving this throaty torquey motor around England’s leafy B roads can understand why.
These older machines are the real deal! With no power steering, anti-lock braking systems etc to rob the car of its feel and character, the driver receives direct unfiltered feedback through the controls, resulting in an experience just not possible with a modern equivalent.
The famous B has definitely got soul!
Built in 1964, this MGB was originally exported to the car friendly state of California, repatriated to the UK and was the subject of a comprehensive restoration in 1996.
The restoration work includes new Heritage shell. Front suspension, rear suspension and braking system completely overhauled.
Engine reconditioned including new pistons, re-ground crank, new water pump, radiator and oil cooler. Carburettors and distributor overhauled. New petrol tank and pump.
New clutch including pipes and cylinders, gearbox and overdrive overhauled and exchange diff unit fitted.
New wiring harness, alternator and starter. All new lights, including headlamp bowls, rims and fittings.
All chrome work new or re-chromed. All new upholstery and carpets. New seat belts fitted.
History File includes Heritage certificate, California Owners certificate, and comprehensive restoration details.
MOT Certificates date back to 1997 confirming the mileage covered since restoration is 4683 miles. The vehicle will be issued with a new MOT from date of purchase.
As you can see by the detail and photos this car is ready to be driven, enjoyed and cherished by its new owner.
